Description: ...ROUGH SURF, BEACH EROSION AND OCEAN OVERWASH EXPECTED TODAY... .A strong, complex and slow moving coastal low will continue to impact Eastern North Carolina into early next week. Persistent, strong north to northeast winds will continue to bring major coastal flooding along the Outer Banks and areas adjacent to the southern Pamlico Sound, and lower Neuse River. Rough surf, beach erosion and ocean overwash will also continue, especially for locations north of Cape Hatteras, where portions of Highway 12 will become inundated and impassable at times. * HAZARDS...Potential for inundation for areas adjacent to the Pamlico Sound and lower Alligator River. * LOCATIONS...Areas adjacent to the lower Pamlico River and lower Alligator River. * TIMING...Until 1 AM EST Monday. * COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Up to 2 feet of water level rise is possible through this weekend, with highest water level rises expected tonight through Sunday.
