Women of the Waves- An Outer Art + Outer Babes Exhibit (Sept. 4-26)
A unique collection of surf art curated by Bri Young will be exhibited in Dare County Arts Council’s upstairs courtroom gallery in September.
This exhibit celebrates the Outer Banks surf culture and showcases OuterBabes art along with other local artists and surfers.

Surf art by Bri Young, Kristen Burritt, Chloe Wienert, Eva Klauser, Maddy Wagner, Ivy Cage, Gwyn Benkusky, Sophie Benkusky, Tatum Dermatas, Camden Hoover, Bella Alexander, Brooklyn Younts, Katie Slater, Mike Rowe, Willow Rae, Katey Harms, Dawn Gray Moraga, Mike Leech and more local artists will be featured in this show.
Women of the Waves will be on display September 4 through September 26, 2020.
Exhibit curator Bri Young says, “We are a community of surfers and artists, young girls and women knit together by our love for the ocean and the freedom of riding waves. We are radically elegant; flowing through life powerfully, joyfully unafraid. We are the women of the Outer Banks.”
