Photo Gallery: “November Surf”
Ask any surfer that’s been around the Outer Banks long enough and they’ll tell you the Fall Season is by far the best time to get it good. Typically the hurricane season starts heating up around late August/early September and can produce great swell events all through January. This year, the month of November had it’s moments of near perfection. Two swells in particular (November 9th and the 19th) were standout days up and down the Outer Banks. Below are some photographs taken by a bunch of locals. Photographers include: Mickey McCarthy, Bob Hovey, Dawn Gray Moraga, Ian Cross, Jon Carter and Terry Mullikin.
