2015 Year in Review (Through 6 Photographer’s Lens)
Let’s face it, 2015 was a stand-out year for surfers on the Outer Banks and September through December really put the exclamation point on the end of last year. We’ve witnessed both heavy swells for the bold and slightly crazy… AND we’ve had plenty of swell events in the playful chest-head+ high range… keeping all kinds of surfers busy in the water. Oh yeah, let’s not forget how mildly warm the air/water has stayed all the way to the end of December.
As I’m writing this, I’m trying to recall any other years (recently) that have had as many A+ days of surf packed into our 365 day window. But don’t take it from me, the proof is evident from our group of local photographers who shared a few of the finer moments in 2015. Compiled below are a group of photo galleries from each photographer (6 total) that showcase just how good it got. We hope you enjoy these photographs and let’s hope 2016 brings back the A-frame game.
