November 13 was definitely a swell event that many won’t forget. It was one of those warm, magical Fall days on the Outer Banks. Everyone was charging and getting barreled with overhead A+ surf. Cory Godwin snagged a few photos that showcase just how perfect the Outer Banks can get when mother nature’s recipe whips up a perfect batch of waves. Cory Godwin originally hails from Portsmouth, VA. His love of the ocean and beach lifestyle brought him to the Outer Banks in 1995. He graduated from UNC Wilmington with a degree in Film Studies. Cory’s documentary film, Out of the Blue, won Best Student Documentary at the Blue Ocean Film Festival in Monterey, CA in 2012. He currently works as a real estate photographer, wedding photographer, and works freelance in video/film production. In his free time, he enjoys surfing, traveling, spending time with his wife, Cara, and photographing the natural beauty of the Outer Banks.
