Pic Gallery: “Winter 2015 Surf in Buxton” – Mitchell Prentice
Despite the long duration of cold water, the Outer Banks had a few moments of bliss in the months of January through March. Our Buxton Surf Reporter Mitchell Prentice captured a few of those moments down in Buxton.
“Both of those days were really short sessions. The day that is bigger and looks colder was in February. Dallas only surfed for 30 minutes and that’s the shots that I got from it. Kinda big gnarly and too cold. The other set of photos was the last two hours before the sun went down in March. Warm day with some left over wind swell. Dallas had those guys staying with him for the weekend and this is when they scored a few. The feb photos were shot at 1st jetty. The march ones were behind the motels.” – Mitchell Prentice.
