Pics: Epic Kiteboarding Day in Avon & Buxton (April 21, 2013)
“Should’ve been there yesterday” – Seems like a universal phrase in water sports. For those who ventured South to surf yesterday (April 21, 2013), it was a mess, but for those who brought their kites, scored pretty epic conditions. The pictures below are of Dimitri and his 10-year old son Cameron at Kite Point in Avon. The wind on the sound was gusty around 25-30 mph and provided excellent kiteboarding conditions. After a great session and demoing some EPIC Kites with friends, Dimitri headed to the oceanside around the Buxton Lighthouse area to test out the new 4G Renegade Kite. Conditions were easily head high to double overhead with a lot of water moving. The winds were howling NE at around 22-27 mph. Photographers: Dimitri and Cameron Maramenides
