Tropics update 7/13/2018 @ 8 am
An area of low pressure associated with the remnants of Tropical rainstorm Beryl is sitting about 350 mi. west of Bermuda. A N/NE track is expected over the weekend keeping the storm well offshore with a chance for subtropical redevelopment. Swell energy from the storm will be seen on local beaches over the next 1-2 days mixed with a NE wind swell so beware of local beach advisories and possible rip currents.
Ello, our 5 day surf forecast is based on the industry standard NOAA WaveWatch III wave model. WaveWatch III provides us model run updates throughout the day. During tropical storm events these updates can significantly change the swell height prediction so check back often for the latest.
