Art: “In Living Color” Exhibit Featuring Dawn Gray Moraga & Ben Morris
“In Living Color” is a showcase of modern art with impressionistic tendencies. The Dare County Arts Council will be featuring the artwork of Outer Banks artists Dawn Gray Moraga and Ben Morris. Both artists are influenced by water and surfing and use a lot of color in their work.
Dawn’s coastal inspired acrylic paintings often feature vibrant colors and recognizable Outer Banks scenery. She studied liberal arts and equestion science at Averett University. For more information about her work, click here. Ben Morris studied art at Savannah College of Art & Design and NC school of the Arts in Winston Salem.
The Opening Reception of In Living Color will be on Friday, July 6 from 6-8pm at the Dare County Arts Council located in downtown Manteo, NC. There will be light hors d’oeuvres, libations, and live music. Reception guests will have the opportunity to meet the talented artists. The opening reception is free and open to the public.
The show will be on display July 6 through July 31, 2018.
