March 2017 Surfing Photo Re-Cap (72 photos)
March is an interesting month on the Outer Banks. It’s weather pattern temperament can throw a tantrum which usually includes gobs of North/NE Winds for days on end. Hence the Nor’easter. To top it off, it can also be brutally cold (upper 40’s water temp) and the waves can be anywhere from flat to way out of control. This year we got lucky and skipped the normal Nor’easter by barely dodging “Stella” damage and ended up with tons of quality surf. March was a generous month for surf, however, the two standout days were March 14 & 21.
Below are a bunch of memories from these two days. Photographers include Adrian Dillenseger, Corey Shaible, Jon Carter, Mikey Sabadic, Dawn Gray Moraga and Cindy Goetcheus. Identified surfers include: John Williams, John Kersey, Bo Raynor, Cam Richards, Jeffrey Midgette, Matt Glenn, Quentin Turko, Seth Barrick and Taylor Moore
