Video: “January Top Water Bassin” – Mikey Sabadic, edit Brett Barley
When the surf is not firing, there’s nothing better than a solid “plan B”. Finding a solid plan B in January is sometimes challenging but not for Outer Banks local fisherman Mikey Sabadic & surfer/fisherman/lensman Brett Barley. Together they went on a hunt for some largemouth bass and ended up getting exactly what they were looking for. This from Brett: “We picked one warm day and although we had a slow start in the morning, the afternoon turned on for some great blowups and feisty little chunks. This was our first attempt at filming together, and I’m excited for the adventure to get that 5-pounder to commit top water right in front of the lens.”
When it comes to fishing, especially in the off season, Mikey Sabadic seems to be able to keep them hooked. For more information about Mikey, check out our past “Local Spotlight” blog HERE.
