Local Event: “First Fridays” in Manteo – May 6th
If you haven’t been to “First Friday”, you might be missing out. Every year on the first Friday of each month from April through Decemeber, Roanoke Island comes alive with live music, street vendors, art shows, and much more. All you have to do is head down to Manteo’s Historic Waterfront and start walking. Arts and crafts, savory bites and lots of live music. May 6th is the next big event with live entertainment from Dustin Furlow, Blurky’s Quirky Friends, Grace Note blue, SOULone and the Other Brothers. PLUS there will be a 2016 Fashion show of Jewelry and Wearable Sculpture at the Magnolia Pavilion from 6-8pm. Come on down! check it out and find out what First Friday’s are all about.
