“Local Spotlight” – Mikey Sabadic
Mikey Sabadic is living the dream. As an Outer Banks local fisherman, photographer and proud father, he absolutely loves the life and place he lives. He’s not the only one and rightfully so as the Outer Banks has so much to offer from catching blue marlin offshore to large mouth bass in the canals and ponds, to watching an amazing sunset to getting barreled on an overhead hurricane swell. The people that live here know what we’re talking about. Mikey has grown up around fishing his entire life and is not ashamed to admit his massive addiction to the sport. “It means even more to me knowing that I can enjoy it with my son,” says Mikey. He has done a lot of photography since his first few years in high school — mainly surf and scenic shots in general but just recently he has combined his two passions of photography and fishing. These shots below represent more then just a picture to Mikey. These photos are moments in time that every fisherman lives for. That split second during battle when your not sure who has the upper hand. It’s a love for the game combined with a passion for capturing the moment.
