6th Annual “Walk Against Addiction” – Sept. 26th
FACT: Substance abuse and addiction is the number one problem in Dare County in the eyes of its residents. Addiction is a horrible disease who’s symptoms can be seen playing out in broken families, lost jobs, homelessness, hopelessness, and physical illness. As a community of faith, we cannot ignore this present darkness. – Brenda.
Walk Against Addiction’s mission is to raise awareness and promote education around the disease of addiction. Their 6th Annual Walk Against Addiction is Saturday, September 26, 2015 at First Flight High School – A One Mile walk is set up to help raise awareness that addiction is a treatable disease. Registration begins at 9:00 am, Walk begins at 10:30 am.
